Bittersweet is the perfect word to describe this sale, as I will also miss the sellers of this home, but I am happy (and jealous) they now get to enjoy year-round golf in sunny Florida.

I was fortunate to team up with my colleague, Jennifer Whitney, on this one. The seller and original owner of this meticulously cared for home at 1066 Amber Ct in West Chicago, was referred to me by an old friend. This friend lives over 1000 miles away and still thought of me to help his mom sell her house. The power of social media for keeping in touch with friends near and far is sure an amazing thing, no matter how much we can dislike social at times.
Truth be told, not every sale is worthy of a “Congratulations to my seller! So excited!” Sometimes homes sell for the exact opposite reason. When colleague, Lori Glattly from our BHHS Lake Forest office, entrusted me to help her daughter and son in-law with their home purchase in St. Charles, I was instantly thankful for the opportunity. We all know of the inventory challenge that has affected the general real estate market, and this felt especially true in the downtown St Charles area, which was the target area to live. Couple that with juggling three kids under the age of five and it became quite the test of patience and hope that something would become available. Almost two years later, In the knick of time before school started, the goal became a reality, and I’m happy to say this lovely family is officially blocks away from downtown St Charles & Pottawatomie Park. I couldn’t be more excited for their next chapter.
