December Newsletter

As the holiday season unfolds and we come together to celebrate, I wanted to take a moment to send you my warmest wishes. While this time of year is often filled with joy and festive cheer, it's essential to recognize that it can also be challenging for some.

In the midst of the glittering lights and merry melodies, I remind myself that not everyone experiences the holidays in the same way. For some, this season may bring feelings of loneliness, loss, or difficulty. I try to approach this time with empathy and understanding, acknowledging that each person carries a unique set of emotions and experiences.

If you find yourself facing challenges or if you know someone who might be, please know that you're not alone. Sometimes, the greatest gift we can give is the gift of compassion and support. I find myself getting stressed sometimes with my efforts to make everything “perfect” during the holidays, and look back wishing I would have spent more time having quality time relaxing with family and friends. Just being there for each other is the greatest gift. (But if you are in need some tangible gift ideas, I do have a few below! :))

May your holiday season be filled with moments of joy, connection, and kindness. Let's spread warmth and understanding, creating a space where everyone feels valued and included.

Wishing you and your loved ones a peaceful and meaningful holiday season.

Love,

Jen

Holiday Gift Guide

3 in 1 Wireless Charger

I hate having 3 separate wires/plugs for each device, so I just bought this fold-up charger that charges 3 devices with 1 wire/plug and it looks so much better on my nightstand. I got this delivered same day from Amazon for $39.99.

Do Book Co.

BHHS Chicago’s CEO, Diane Glass, sends her annual holiday gift guide to us at the beginning of every December titled “Gift Confidently.” Here is one of her recommendations that I’m adding to my own gift list:

“Do Book Co” are a series of short books on several interesting topics. You are sure to find a book for everyone on your gift list.

A bonus: the books are small and make great stocking stuffers.

Le Jacquard French Linens

My friend and Naperville golf buddy, Dina Morris, is a purveyor of imported Le Jacquard French linens at boutique shows throughout Chicagoland. I own a few of her tea towels and they are not only beautiful but extremely durable and get softer as you use them/wash them. They make excellent gifts!

Check Dina’s page for info: facebook.com/dinashometable or email her at dinam222000@yahoo.com.

Transforming My Business and Myself

Having worked in real estate for 18 years, I still love learning and striving for improvement. My passion for real estate constantly drives me to seek ways to enhance my practice, ensuring better service for my clients.

Recently, I completed a 12-week Transform program developed by Senior VP + my coach and mentor, Joe Stacy of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago. This intensive coursework equipped me with the tools to enhance my actions and habits. I also got to know some of my amazing BHHS colleagues better in the process. My goal is not only to be a better real estate agent and entrepreneur but also to become a better person. I feel energized and ready for what the future holds in 2024! 🎉🤩🫶🏻

Holiday Rice Krispie Treat

If you know me, I love a good rice Krispie treat. They have to be soft and chewy, which can be a real challenge if you’re making them to last through the holiday without turning into a rock.  I found this recipe from the Today’s Show that I plan to try with my kids this weekend. Baker Jessie Sheehan says that sweetened condensed milk is the secret ingredient to keeping them soft!  Try this recipe out and let me know what you think and I’ll do the same!

Quick Getaway - Scottsdale, AZ

I was fortunate to be able to take a quick trip to Scottsdale to celebrate my sister’s 40th birthday.  I conquered my fear of heights by climbing Camelback Mountain.  The views were amazing and my legs are still sore from it! 😊 I was also very impressed with all of the amazing restaurants and shopping that Old Town Scottsdale has to offer. Message me for my bar/restaurant recommendations. Would love to go back again some day!

From my family to yours, wishing you and your loved ones peace and love this holiday season.

Rest in Peace, Aunt Kim. I will miss you.
